The 7 Trumpets Part 13
By Pastor Rony Tan
Revelation chapter 11 opens with John the Apostle being shown (and also being asked to measure) the temple in Jerusalem. During this period of rampant wickedness and calamities, the Lord, in His great mercy, commissions two witnesses with supernatural powers to herald the Gospel of Christ’s love.
In this message, the following questions will be addressed:
How will it be possible for the Jews to have their temple on a site already occupied by an Islamic edifice?
Who are the two witnesses?
Where will we Christians be by then?Message on August 1, 2010

Willing & Obedience
XAn excerpt taken from the book The Art Of Living written by Pastor Rony Tan
What is faith? Faith must be active or else it is dead. Faith is best expressed by a person who is obedient and willing to trust God by positive action.
Isaiah 1:19
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
A travelling evangelist was very discouraged because of his poor financial situation. In his heart-to-heart talk with God, he said, “Lord, I don’t see Isaiah 1:19 fulfilled in my life. I am not eating the good of the land although I am obedient.”
To that, the Lord replied, “Yes, you are obedient but not willing.”
In a flash, the evangelist saw where he had missed it. Quickly, he made an adjustment in his heart. He realised that a person could be unwillingly obedient, even grumpily obedient. So he decided there and then, in that one powerful moment, that he would be both willing and obedient. From then on, his financial situation changed dramatically.
You have to be willing to make adjustments in your attitudes and actions. Constantly, we have to remind ourselves to be our very best, to do our very best and to make the best of what we have right now.
No matter who or where you are, no matter how little you possess, you somehow have something to build on. And not only that, there is always something you can do with what you do have, no matter how little it is.
As you begin to build on who you are and what you have, little by little, moment by moment, you will get somewhere. The prophet Elisha asked the destitute widow a miracle-provoking question, “What do you have in your house?”
When she had identified the precious little that she had - a pot of oil, Elisha taught her what to do with what she had. And a miracle of supply took place. For greater details of this account, read my mini-book “Running On Empty.”
2 Corinthians 6:2
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
“Salvation” means “wholeness in your total man - spirit, soul and body." Now is the time to adjust your heart to believe. Now is the time to believe the very best. Now is the time to receive in your spirit the very best.
Hebrews 3:15
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
You have heard the voice of God through this chapter. He is telling you to be and do your very best in all circumstances.
Don’t harden your heart. Today surrender and yield to the Holy Spirit.
How you live today not only affects tomorrow, but also eternity. The best investment in the future is a proper use of the present, especially today...here and now...this moment.
Remember that there is always something you have in your possession, no matter how small or little it may be. And there is always something you can do with what you have. There is always something that you have which can be built upon. As you do, you are expanding your spirit.
Procrastination says, “Tomorrow!”Diligence says, “Today!” But excellence says, “NOW!” Keep moving on...NOW!An excerpt taken from the book The Art Of Living written by Pastor Rony Tan

The Greatest Love Story … Hosea
By Pastor Pacer Tan
Love stories have a way of speaking to the heart. It thrills and excites us. It sparks passion within us. There are timeless tales of love like Romeo and Juliet, Cleopatra and Mark Antony or even Paris and Helena of Troy.
But amidst them all, one stands out from the crowd. It’s an obscure story found in the book of Hosea. A love that the world has never seen. The faithful love of Hosea for his unfaithful wife.Messages on July 25, 2010

FLEXILIGHT PROGRAMS
XFLEXILIGHT PROGRAMS
Praise God for a good start to the Power Walk program which was launched on Saturday, July 3. He held back the rain despite dark clouds looming ominously in the sky. The weather turned out to be breezy and cooling, just perfect for the walk.
The participants were very excited as Sister Catherine taught them the following techniques of power walking:
1) Walk tall. Use good posture, looking forward not at the ground, gazing about 7 meters ahead. Keep your chin level and your head up.
2) Keep your shoulders down, back relaxed and chest forward.
3) Tighten your abdominal and buttock muscles. Tilt your pelvis slightly forward.
4) Swing your arms front to back, not side to side.
5) Concentrate on striking with the heel and pushing off with your toes.
These are some of the participants’comments about the first power walk:
• “It’s refreshing!”
• “I’ve learned something new.”
• “It’s a new experience walking in a group.”
We welcome you to join us every Saturday at 6.45 am for light warm-ups before the actual power walk. Meet us at the car park opposite the Aquarius By The Park condominium along Bedok Reservoir Road.
Flexilight has also other programs to cater to your various physical needs.
Praise Workout (previously known as Aerobic Exercises) is a combination of
cardiovascular and toning exercises. If you faithfully go through the entire program with us, you will begin to look good and feel better, physically and mentally. This workout will be held on Saturdays in our two centers – 7.45 am in Tampines and 8.00 am in Woodlands.
We also have programs for you in the evening before the Miracle Service. You can look forward to the Praise & Stretch on the first and third Saturdays in LE Tampines and the fourth Saturday in LE Woodlands at 6.30 pm. Love Singapore’s 40-Day Prayer and Fast
XLove Singapore’s 40-Day Prayer and Fast
Have you ever wondered why God created our bodies to hunger and to thirst; that as we hunger we should be satisfied by food and as we thirst, by water?
Because we should have an idea of who our glorious Christ is like when He declares in John 6:35 (ESV): “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” All things, including bread and hunger, are created for the glory of Christ. When we partake of bread, we taste the emblem of the true Heavenly Bread – Jesus. When we fast, we say, “I prefer the true Bread above the emblem!”
In the midst of enticing worldly distractions and temptations, the youths are choosing to find satisfaction in the Cross. Many are fasting, not just from food, but even from facebook and online gaming. We strongly encourage all parents of Speedlighters to fast and pray alongside them as a family and also participate in the following activities:
Prayer and Worship Service 1
Sunday, July 18
Sanctuary of Lighthouse Tampines
1.15 pm
Prayer and Worship Service 2
Key Speedlight Prayer Event of the Year
Friday, July 30

Speedlight Services
During the recent school holidays, the Speedlighters had taken to the poorer areas of Singapore to capture short films of the homeless, laborers, road cleaners and other disadvantaged groups. These will be screened in our Speedlight services as we unite our hearts to intercede for them. Join us to watch and pray!
Prayer For Schools
Speedlighters of the same school will be praying for their classmates and teachers.

THE SILENCE By Pastor Rony Tan
XYou rush off to work
in the morning
No time to talk to Me
And throughout the morning
A 101 things occupy your mind
I am totally crowded out
You face every difficulty
in your own strength
As I stand by
Longing to guide you
You hurry here, there and everywhere
As if I don’t exist
Then off to lunch you go
With a noisy laughing crowd
But not a word of thanksgiving
Not the smallest whisper of prayer
I’ve given you a direct line to Me
But you never seem to call
Then work and work and work some more
Not a single word to Me
Not even at the close of day
When evening shadows fall
Then as I gaze longingly at your
sleeping face
My heart breaks as I wait for you
to wake again
Perhaps tomorrow you’ll turn to Me
For a fellowship that is sweet
But not a word of thanksgiving
Not the smallest whisper of prayer
I’ve given you a direct line to Me
But you never seem to callYou rush off to work
in the morning
No time to talk to Me
And throughout the morning
A 101 things occupy your mind
I am totally crowded out
You face every difficulty
in your own strength
As I stand by
Longing to guide you
You hurry here, there and everywhere
As if I don’t exist
Then off to lunch you go
With a noisy laughing crowd
But not a word of thanksgiving
Not the smallest whisper of prayer
I’ve given you a direct line to Me
But you never seem to call
Then work and work and work some more
Not a single word to Me
Not even at the close of day
When evening shadows fall
Then as I gaze longingly at your
sleeping face
My heart breaks as I wait for you
to wake again
Perhaps tomorrow you’ll turn to Me
For a fellowship that is sweet
But not a word of thanksgiving
Not the smallest whisper of prayer
I’ve given you a direct line to Me
But you never seem to callYou need the Flash Player to view media content.

Lessons From Two Contrasting Lives
By Pastor Clarence Goh
God had made human beings to be creatures of eternity. The account of the rich man and Lazarus is often used to illustrate the two eternal destinations that men would finally end up in. However, apart from talking about our eternal destinations, the Lord also has some other important lessons for us through this story.
We will examine this passage and discover for ourselves what we need to do to ultimately arrive at the correct side of eternity.Messages on July 11, 2010

3 Desires Of Christ
(Revealed By The Encounters Of 3 Marys)
By Pastor Rony Tan
What impact would it have on you if you could hear the Lord Jesus telling you of His deep desires for your life? If He were to take you by the hand, look you into the eyes and tenderly tell you three of His longings concerning you, would you do His bidding?
There are three Marys in the Gospels who experienced life-changing encounters with Christ. Each encounter reveals a profound longing in the heart of our Master regarding His relationship with us.
This message aims to make our loving Lord real in your prayers and daily living. The Christian faith is not merely a religion, it is a vital and meaningful relationship with our Savior Who is also our Bridegroom.Messages on July 4, 2010
